Timing, gaskets, cylinder head, water pump and radiator. In Cartagena's heat an overheating engine doesn't forgive: we check temperature, cooling fan and leaks before the head warps.
Pads, discs, drums, cylinders, hoses and fluid. We measure the disc with a gauge: if it's within spec we resurface it, if not we replace it. Never by eye.
Shocks, springs, bushings, tie rods, ball joints and links. Rattles over potholes and a car that pulls to one side almost always start here.
Manual or automatic gearbox, clutch, CV joints and mounts. Changing the gearbox oil on time costs a fraction of repairing it.
